Acclimation.

11:49 a.m. For the first time in a long time, when I slept in late, I actually slept in really late.

I had trouble sleeping last night. The room lacked proper air circulation, so I moved to the Laz-y-Boy in the living room, they got rid of the couch, and slept there.

Then when my body finally tired of not sleeping fully reclined, I moved back to the bed.

‘Pink was my favorite color, now it looks like red.’ New book title idea. Got it from a song I was making up in a dream.

In fact, the lyrics were getting inappropriate, I lost the flow because of it, and woke up. That phrase is more like a variation of what I was actually singing.

And the singing sounded like The Offspring, and the sound like “Pretty Fly For White Guy.”

I dreamt of some Kardashian baby drama, like Kendall not making time for her baby and Scott Disick finally getting a two-million dollar pool (by working around some old dying trees in the backyard.)

I dreamt of slipping on hills of snow into a creek, knowing I come from a small area of the world where I could get this old without seeing snow (or mountains)

Towards the end, the snow crystals were hardened. And I started getting scared of Alligators waiting to sneak up the bank. So soon after, that was over.

I dreamt Grandpa disappeared a while and when he returned, he seemed taller and a lot more ‘buffed up’ from seriously working out. He showed me a tiny square pin or something that was supposed to represent the gym.

I kissed his cheek as we walked the sidewalk with some other people we knew.

That’s about it.

I woke up and chatted with Dad while looking for pop tarts. We discussed that I can’t eat the boneless buffalo wings I planned on having because it was supposed to be for a full meal. (Not tonight either, cause of fried chicken last night.)

They are both leaving today to make funeral arrangements. I’ll be here chilling, or maybe even popping down to the library. I don’t know.

I could even try to write a book based on that awesome new title. ❤️ Which I find really intriguing, by the way.

Dad kept referring to those going as the adults and said there won’t be ‘kids there.’ (Referring to me or people my age.)

Mind you, I’m 29 going on 30, so in a way this is humorous. This also shows how young they actually perceived me compared to themselves.

Unless by kids, he meant the grandkids, children of my late grandpa’s kids..who knows? 🤷🏻‍♀️😋

I said it was ‘a lot more their business than mine,’ so we leave it at that.

1:35 p.m. Been in the guest bedroom watching Sherlock.

Ate a small bag of Cheetos and drinking grape flavored sparkling water. Finally a flavor that doesn’t taste weird.

By the way, Dad thought the chicken I meant was his own bag. So no, he doesn’t mind me eating the kinda Anna got me. Although he found it weird I’d want to eat chicken two days in a row.

3:16 p.m. Ate buffalo chicken and macaroni. Cleaned up my dishes, too, as I don’t need to leave Anna all that mess.

Dad and Anna left a little while ago.

I’m enjoying dogsitting and Dad’s surround sound as I watch Beauty and the Beast. Yes. Again. Makes the same old movie a bit more...immersive. When I’m paying attention and not typing this entry, of course.

Passively thinking now and then of a suitable plot for that savvy new book title that came to me this morning. 🤗❤️

3:21 p.m. Took a photo to mark this moment. Cause small moments are nice.

3:48 p.m. Got a nice shower and teeth brushing out of the way, though a bit overdue. 😂

4:56 p.m. Mom called, asking me to get Dad to call her. There’s a family emergency going on involving Jen, and Dad’s heading to her house. But nobody’s telling me anything. 😕🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s not my business, just praying everything comes out alright.

P.S. Watching the movie, Lincoln.

6:19 p.m. Aaliyah and I chatted. Age kept trying to send me a video, but it didn’t work. Our Skype call broke up a lot, too.

According to her, it sounds like Jen’s merely upset, though I didn’t press too much further. I’m just grateful she’s not injured or something.

Dad and Anna haven’t called back yet, and not home.

I ate another small bag of Cheetos. I just don’t want to eat some big meal knowing dinner is the time Anna usually makes a big home style meal. 😋

6:40 p.m. Mom got back to me. I won’t go into too much detail, but it sounds like one of those things where it feels like the whole worlds coming down on someone. And right now the family is just all gonna pull and pray and try to make things better for her. ❤️ Love my sis.

We’ve all been through rough times. And I’ve gotten to see people I live go through it more than once. Just gotta trust God we’ll all get past it and get on to better days.

P.S. Watching Pearl Harbor on Netflix and Dad’s on the way home.

7:42 p.m. Dad and Anna got back some minutes ago. Just chilling out now.

8:38 p.m. Ate buffalo chicken, Mac, mashed potatoes and gravy for dinner. Watching Sherlock. :)

9:42 p.m. Caved and downloaded Disney Magic Kingdoms on my iPod.

Ate Neapolitan ice cream (in a cone) with Dad and Anna and now back to Sherlock. Lol.

Still need to ask Dad for a fan for the guest bedroom. I’ll let him finish his ice cream first.

Speaking of, towards the end a chunk landed in my cavity and touched some exposed nerves. Sooo painful lol.

11:47 p.m.
Aaliyah contacted me about not being able to sleep earlier. Since she stopped writing, I imagine...I hope..she managed.

Dad kindly pulled the fan out for me and I’m immensely grateful for it.

I kept insisting that I can’t sleep properly without air circulation. And now it looks like that won’t be a problem the rest of the week. Just wanted to update before I go to bed.

God bless. All glory, praise, thanks, and all thirds be to God on the highest forever and ever in Jesus Name, Amen. God is able!

All Glory, Praise, Thanks and all things be to almighty God on the highest forever and ever in Jesus name, amen. God is able to do above all we ask or think!
