A Cold New Years.

10:58 a.m. So! While I still have this cozy little hotel room to myself, I want to spend some time catching up on my vacation so far!

On the 28th, a lot didn't go on. Mom and I ate Pizza and we watched a lot of Chrisley Knows Best (of course.)

On the 29th, we spent the morning watching television before I went with Mom to run some errands. We then tried to go to the eye doctor, but it wouldn't take her insurance, so we went to another one. While we waited, I shopped around the mall square. I browsed the Dollar Tree, Staples, Michaels, and Target.

I got a new keyboard and mousepad (thanks Mom) Speaking of, while I got a cute pink polka dotted mouse pad for six bucks at Target, Staples wanted 10-15 dollars and up for theirs! Yes, even the standard plain ones. And I tried to look for some clear projector paper as part of the tablet hack to prevent scratches, but I found none.

Instead, I got a clear acetate sheet with white white writing on it, intended for scrapbooks, at Michaels, and hopefully that will do just fine.

After Mom got her appointment over with, she had to drive to Orlando to finish up so work. While she worked, I stayed in the parking lot and slept in the back seat. :) As expected, I made the small space work as time flew by, with only one bathroom break in between.

After that, we met up with DJ at Sams Club and got some food, including a 17 pack of hot pockets and egg rolls for Mom, plus some dinner stuff.

Mom got me Taco Bell by DJs house, and DJ made steaks.

Then we went home.

On the 30th, I kept the netbook in Mom's car.

I had some dream where I went to an old building to find a (real life) plaque my name was on as part of a recipient of an art scholarship. I was guided through there by a silvery mylar talking balloon.

When I got there, the first thing I saw was a large open cardboard box of again (real life) old art projects I consider lost now, most of them, since we weren't allowed to take them home back then. And in the box was a book I wrote of just random stories compiled together.

Somewhere in between there, it was guarded by these mini t-rexes the size of raptors and I threw them meat to make them go away.

Anyway, I read the book and there was one singular paragraph in there was something (in italics) about Rumplestiltskin. I did find the award, though it was quite decayed. I tried to leave and the balloon (a young girl voice) said I can't leave with that without affecting time. I did it anyway.

When I went outside, I think by flying through the upper window, the apartment buildings next to us started shifting and pulling apart, and the furniture lagging behind them. The balloon starts panicking about the time change and actually becomes a little blonde girl.

I sense something bad about her and tried to fly away. She threw a rock and almost hit me in the temple about the same time Mom shouted my name to wake me up so I wouldn't be sleeping all day, lol. The irony of all the timing. :D I call fate on that one.

Anyway, after hanging out on the couch, we went out to iHop for breakfast. I got steak (which I didn't know was sweetened, to my small disappointment) but I ate it without complaint. I don't like sweetness on my savory foods is the thing. I also had two round sausages, pancakes, and cheesy scrambled eggs and hashbrowns. I would've gotten orange juice but there were no free refills on it and I went with unsweet tea, which I sweetened myself.

Mom also got us the cheesecake-filled french toast. She ate her half, while I was too full for mine. I didn't even touch my pancakes. After that, we packed it all up and got ready to go.

After we got home, Marley and Lani dropped by while Uncle J did some work next door. I played with the kids while they took to the trampoline, swinging rope, and raised docks. (Though Lani was afraid of them at first.) Meanwhile, Mom got laundry done and we watched Furious 6/7 on tv.

Mom also shared some of an 'aged' cheese and grapes platter. We ate some, that was still good, and then tossed it.

We planned to the hotel the next day by 4 p.m.

We were also going to go see Jumanji this day but they were sold out, so that got postponed until the morning.

Mom and I went out and we got more groceries, then we came home and I made dinner. Macaroni, Potatoes, and ready-made fried chicken. We watched the Chrisleys and Grumpy Old Men, only interrupted when Uncle Pat called Mom and asked us to pick up two Little Ceasers (who don't deliver) pizzas for him. Thankfully, they live nearby.

After that, Uncle J came over and said goodbye.

I caught up on Neopets.

And..I was low key frustrated today with iCloud keeping my photos on low resolution when wifi wasn't around, so I fixed that function.

So yeah, a lot went on on the 30th, which I kept quick notes of on my iPod notes. :P Onward!

On the 31st, I started the day with Hot Pockets and a Chrisleys marathon.
We packed up at 9:30 a.m. then stopped by the theater with a half hour to spare. First we went to Walgreens, then CVS, while Mom looked for something for her dentures..I forget what. We played music in the car on the way back to the theater.

Jumanji was great. I had a pack of M&Ms from the previous day's store trip which saved candy money and had a water. The movie started at 11 a.m. It was okay and had a few cheap laughs. :P We got out of there around 1 p.m.

On the way to Jens, there was a huge family blowup on the phone between my siblings and my Moms over the sleeping arrangements. Jen refused to go, at first, because she didn't want the pull out bed, she wanted the main bed. (There was only one bed in the timeshare room.) I was blocking most of the arguments out with music on full blast.

We arrive at Jens at two and Harmony already started amusing me. :) DJ soon arrived after. Everything mellowed out after that.

We then went to the Wawa to wait a good while for Caddy to drop Aaliyah off. Again, I kept to myself. Then it was the long drive to the hotel. Me, Mom, Jen, DJ, and the kids: Harmony, Aaliyah, Drake, Brooklyn, and Zoey.

After we arrived in the parking lot, Mom told everyone to stay in the car...but of course, everyone got out. Then when I tried to get out, Jen rebuked me and I cussed about wanting to stretch my legs. I have a peeve with Jen's comfortably in ordering me like I'm one of her kids. Still, I was making a mountain out of a molehill and apologized for it later.

After that, we went up to the room and unpacked. We decided since, by then, it was around 5 p.m. that we'd go to the water park the next day (more on that later) but instead I took the kids over to the park.

Then later that night, they played with bubbles on the balcony.

Dick Clarks New Years Rocking Eve played on. Eventually, we went down to a New Years Party run by the hotel. I won a Checkers from the raffle and soon Drake nodded off, so I took him (crying for my Mom, his Grandma) back up to the room and then went to sleep myself.

On the 1st, we mostly stayed inside...aside from that period where I took Aaliyah, Harmony, and Drake to the heated pool and jacuzzi. Its been in the steady 40s since we got here and the water park has been closed due to the in-climate weather. The kids played inside a lot afterwards, including a brief stop at the Arcade..with claw machines that didn't work and took our tokens. :(

The night ended with pizza and calzones, and chicken fingers for the kids, which was delicious. Watched some Harry Potter and went to bed. Aaliyah stayed up all night watching 'Once Upon A Time' and is now already on Season Two.

Also, DJ and Mom attended a timeshare seminar where DJ did, in fact, buy into one. They were hoping to get 150 dollars for intending but instead, got a free cruise out of it. Still not bad. :P DJ's thrilled with his package and could hardly stop talking about it.

Now present, the 2nd, TODAY, I started my morning by making some scrambled eggs and kielbasa sausage for me and the kids. I also played Neopets with Liyah.

Then after everyone was up, I went, alone, to the hot tub and heated pool for some alone time. The worker lady there said I was 'brave' for doing it in this cold weather (I was the only guest there) and even moved my towel closer for me so I could quickly dry off. I wouldn't have called it brave or anything, but I'm really determined if I want to do something, especially with swimming.

I still think if Alaskans can hot tub in the snow, I can take a heated pool in 40 degree weather. :P

Anyway, after I came back after what felt like a half hour later, I changed clothes and cleaned up the place. (With some help.)

The girls ate breakfast prepared by Jerami (Jen's boyfriend) and we just watched things on our devices. Then they took the girls for arts and crafts.

I stayed behind and watched Youtube, ate hot pockets, and got down to writing this post while there was already so much to catch up on. It's now 2:35 p.m. on January 2, 2018. And that, is that. All Glory, Praise, Thanks to God on the highest forever and ever in Jesus name, Amen! God is able to do above all we ask or think!

EDIT: Wound up sleeping until around 5 p.m. For a while after that, things weren't too eventful.

We spent time on our devices and later went to play family bingo. Aaliyah won. :) We got raffle tickets for next-day prizes.

Zack and his friend came over later in the night after Mom made chicken Parmesan. :) I spiked my own plate with Red Hot sauce. P.S. He almost vomited in the elevator which smells like a roach spray can exploded pretty much 24/7. I have to cover my mouth when using it and even then the smell can't be prevented.

Also managed to catch Chrisley Knows Best on tv. :D Even on vacation, I can't get away. :)

Lastly, April and I chatted. She;s been mostly having the house to herself the past couple weeks and loving it, while Rob stays at Dawns (with brief stays home in between.) More in the next post as we catch up! O.O

All Glory, Praise, Thanks and all things be to almighty God on the highest forever and ever in Jesus name, amen. God is able to do above all we ask or think!
