About My Day - October 3, 2014

10:57 p.m. I played on the computer as usual. One day I'll get tired of saying that. Although just close to three p.m. I set the computer aside and did some watercolor drawing. Would love to post those later if God Wills I get them scanned. lol.

Then Aaliyah came home. I played online with her, and we even went outside with the dog and the waterhose. There was a lot of playing and watching Youtube videos. She loves Yvlis, cats, Kids React, Rhett and Link, and apparently Avril Lavinge's 'Hello Kitty.'

Then Harmony and Jen came home and from there it was more playtime and more music videos with the kids until I declared 'quiet' time. Then hopped on the computer after some rest. Lili fell asleep, the angel. And all is quiet as I wait for Mom to arrive home after a two week business trip.

As you saw in a previous post, my work got published in the Neopian Times, a newspaper on this site I play called Neopets, and I am so humbled and so glad. It was a dream come true, literally. And if God Wills, in Jesus Name, Amen, I'd like to have it happen again.

I had a dream last night that I was chatting up Phil Hartman. In the dream, he had still lived. He didn't pass in some tragedy and he and his wife were fine. I really liked his voice!!! Most people knew him from SNL but I remember him from Jingle All The Way, one of my favorite childhood films.

I praise God for life today. No mishaps to speak of, which isn't noticed often enough. Maybe one...the dog got under the house today and wouldn't come out but I moved on XD P.S. food stamps come in tomorrow which is great. Joe will take me to Wal-Mart to get some food for the weekend since it's lacking here at Mom's house. Meanwhile, I think April and Rob already went shopping at home.

Oh, and Harmony found a small bug crawling across the floor. She got curious and tried to pick up up as it scrambled out of her hand. I had to forbid her to quit trying to grab it and we let it go. Childhood curiousity, and fearlessness is something else..if not a bit scary.

I really wanted to blog tonight. Neo is tempting but blogging is like a freelance job for me, my life.

11:06 p.m. Pardon while the internet breaks...again..

11:16 p.m. I got invited to the bonfire out back. More awkward silence around a bunch of shirtless rednecks. It's in my element, at least. We got food going.

11:59 p.m. 49 minutes. I moved Aaliyah to her bed after she fell asleep on the couch. I got to know this shirtless guy..I don't know his name. We chatted by the grill about music, at first. Can't believe he likes the same kind! Surprised me, like, Van Canto, really?!! And talked about coming from New York (though very much a redneck by nature) to Florida and how my Mom changed his life. Talked about getting me to go to a concert sometime.

Chatted with Joe and this other dude about eating greens. I saw the guy who moved in the place we turned down..the one that wanted rent and for us to mow four lawns a month on top to afford it. lol. I'm terrible at recalling names, though. Sorry.

The ribs are quite salty but they are going to be delicious. The mosquitos had at my ankles as I sat by the bonfire, still playing with April's smartphone. Still waiting on Mom to come home. God Bless, Jesus Loves, Lives, Saves! P.S. They said they are baptised, so that's cool.

Trying to get the internet to work to upload photos to this blog and videos for personal use later. P.S. I still hate profanity and it was the one major discomfort about my experience.

12:37 a.m. So FINALLY the internet works and I can add the last couple images from tonight. The guy in the black tank top is Joe, the shirtless guy is the one from New York, The one in the hat was surprised I took his photo (and told me he hates greens) and the one in the blue shirt lives in the house we almost rented. I'm close to ending updates. Can't wait to eat. Chatted up April too soon after she woke, lol.
